2023 marked the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, in which we have witnessed many touching stories on the Belt and Road.
With the theme of “Cultural Silk Road”, this program invited guests from Serbia, Qazaqstan, Laos and other Belt and Road countries to give a panoramic account of how civilizations have learnt from each other, opened up and cooperated with each other under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The guests told stories of mutual understanding, openness and cooperation, as well as multicultural exchanges.
Chinese and foreign artists were invited to use novel fusion art forms to make “each beauty its own” on the stage “Beauty and Harmony”.
Qazaqstan
The story that interested us most was the connection between composers Xian Xinghai (CN) and Bakhitzhan Baykadamov (QZ).

Lang Lang and Dimash Qudaibergen’s collaborative performance of the “Yellow River Cantata” (composed by Xian Xinghai) can be experienced through the screen! – according to the description of the video on CCTV’s YouTube channel.
Qazaq singer Dimash Qudaibergen performed several roles and sang “Dudarai”.
The multi-instrumental performance arrangement made the scene more exciting and gave us a wonderful experience. We must say that this is a band in its own right!
