In elementary school, the main subject was the native language. We often practiced expressive reading. But Dimash did not like to recite poems, he sang them, and even if the teachers reprimanded him, it was all with a smile. He himself was always radiant. How could you scold such a boy? He was always extraordinary and very creative. This school was even included in the tourist itinerary for Dimash fans before his big “Arnau” concert in 2019. Fans still sometimes stop by here, wondering where their idol's journey began. Here Dimash and his friends first performed in public and here he realized that his calling was solo singing.
Clara Kajygalieva, Dinmukhamed Qudaibergenov’s first teacher
Clara Kajygalieva remembered his earliest creative explorations and carefully preserves her memories to share with her new students. She said when he came to school he already was able to read.
Many of us have tried to learn to play dombra. But Dimash was the best at it. We used to perform as an orchestra and he started singing along with the dombra and the audience recieved him well He was constantly improving himself, learning new kyuis, songs, terme by himself.
Serik Sagynov, a classmate of Dimash
All the events at school, be it a concert or festive celebrations, couldn't do without Dimash's participation. I would even say, they were held thanks to him. He was always on time, so kind, sympathetic and generous. We had a class for dombra called "Murager" taught by Rosa-apai. That's when we realized that Dimash was closer to art than the others. He was easily able to read musical notes. And find a tune on the fly.
Aibar Zhuldyzbaev, a classmate of Dimash
At the first lesson... you know, he have a habit of getting to know each other better and we, as musicians ask: who does each future musician wants to become like? We had a private one-on-one conversation, and he told me that he wanted to be like Michael Jackson. That made me feel interested, amused even. I thought, wow, what an attitude and when I heard he became world famous… Well, at first I could not believe it. I always considered him to be an ordinary, simple guy. I knew that he would have a good future, but not on that level. But I'm among the fans, I'm in that army. I love listening to him. I am always listening, I'm very touched... often tears come from the fact that everything is so familiar: familiar fingers, mannerisms, facial movements, emotions on his face, in his eyes… There were times when it all was so often and so close.

Dimash's school has become a tourist attraction, visited by his fans
Kazakhstan’s guests, who are invited by the singer from the stage, visit his places of education and musical performance.
For example, in the school where Dimash started his secondary education, his fans met his school teachers, sat at his desk, took photos, and visited the school museum with a stand devoted to the talented school graduate. With great interest they looked at Dimash’s photos and his school achievements. The program also included a master class with Dimash’s music teacher – maestro Marat Aitimov.

About his first steps into creative life
I have met with my teachers at the College named after Ahmet Zhubanov in Aktobe, where I studied before. I really missed my teacher, my father in the art, Marat agai, who brought me up, who taught me both in professional and personal sides. We were so excited that we didn't notice how quickly 3-4 hours had passed. To all my fans Marat agai sends his warmest greetings) I consider myself very lucky because I was your student! Even now I still feel like a little child and still worry in front of him 😅 May you have a lot of powerful and smart students. Be healthy, live long, I love you very much!!!
