"Love's Not Over Yet" is the most anticipated piece performed by Kazakh musician Dimash Qudaibergen

The song was created by an international team led by two-time Grammy Award-winning producer and composer Walter Afanasieff. It was written specifically for Dimash’s unique voice by French songwriters Flavien Compagnon, Dominique Bourse, and lyricist Devon Graves.

The release is on March 7, at midnight on music platforms and at 4 PM CET on YouTube

A few words about each of the composers of this song

Walter Afanasieff

Walter Afanasieff is a Brazilian-born American music producer, composer, and pianist, renowned for his influential work in the music industry. Born on February 10, 1958, in São Paulo, Brazil, he moved to the United States during his childhood. Afanasieff’s career gained momentum in the 1980s when he collaborated with jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty and later with producer Narada Michael Walden, contributing to albums by artists like Whitney Houston.
 
In the early 1990s, Afanasieff began a significant partnership with Mariah Carey, co-writing and co-producing numerous hits such as “Hero,” “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and “One Sweet Day.” This collaboration played a pivotal role in shaping Carey’s early sound and success.
Afanasieff also produced “My Heart Will Go On,” the theme song for the 1997 film “Titanic,” performed by Celine Dion. This track became one of the best-selling singles worldwide. His contributions to film music include work on songs for Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin.”
 
Throughout his career, Afanasieff has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, and Ricky Martin. He has received multiple Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year in 2000.
As of 2017, he resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Katie Cazorla, and their three children.

Flavien Compagnon

Flavien Compagnon is a French pianist, composer, and music producer known for his collaborations with various artists across multiple genres. He has contributed to the works of renowned performers such as Céline Dion, Lara Fabian, Dimash, Marc Lavoine, Florent Pagny, Isabelle Boulay, and SeanZeudog.

In addition to his performance career, Compagnon has been involved in music composition and production, working on projects like “Lara Fabian: Deux ils, deux elles” in 2013.

He has also participated in dubbing for television, contributing to productions like “The Voice.”

Dominique Bourse

While Dominique Bourse is primarily recognized for his executive roles in the entertainment industry, he has also contributed to songwriting. In collaboration with French composer Flavien Compagnon, Bourse co-wrote the song “Love’s Not Over Yet” in 2017, specifically for Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen.

Devon Graves

Devon Graves is a Paris-based American singer-songwriter celebrated for combining heartfelt music and lyrics. Her 2024 collaboration with French DJ Celestal entitled “Beautiful Lie”, which featured Devon both as a singer and songwriter, garnered over 3.2 million streams and over 30,000 plays on French radio and earned Devon international notoriety.
In 2025, she will debut original songs composed for Cléopâtre: La Reine Louve, a new play by award-winning writer and director Eric Bouvron, premiering at the prestigious Avignon Theatre Festival. Devon will perform live during the show, showcasing her unique ability to blend storytelling and music.

Dmytro Gordon

Dmytro Gordon is a visual media and concert music composer, orchestrator, arranger and producer.

He has been noted for his melodicism, balance of traditional and innovative musical elements and orchestration and a broad specter of styles and genres. His music has been featured in various films, heard on Ukrainian national TV and radio, as well as his concert works being recorded by Kyiv Philharmonic Orchestra, ALEA III ensemble, and other distinguished music ensembles and groups around the globe.

Dmytro Gordon lives in Los Angeles, CA, and works with a renown composer, producer and holder of multiple Grammy awards Walter Afanasieff, writes and orchestrates film and concert music. In 2021, Dmytro was admitted to the National Association of Composers of Ukraine.
