NUR CHOLPON
Nur Cholpon is a prominent singer, composer, and musician from Kyrgyzstan, widely recognized for her distinctive ethno-pop style. She performs traditional Kyrgyz repertoire as well as interpretations of Western songs, and is known for her impressive vocal range, which includes whistle tones and even elements of beatboxing.
A member of the Union of Composers and an Honored Cultural Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic, she is also regarded as the first woman in Kyrgyzstan to compose an opera. Her work often blends traditional komuz motifs with contemporary musical trends, creating a bridge between heritage and modern expression.
In the first episode, Nur Cholpon performed Besh Yrgai.
