An evening of Virtuosos in Budapest

WORLD PREMIERE IN BUDAPEST | THREE ICONS – ONE STAGE | An evening the world will never forget.

On 18 April 2026, Budapest’s MVM Dome hosts an extraordinary musical event as Plácido Domingo and Dimash Qudaibergen share the stage of a 20.000-capacity arena for the first time. This world premiere brings together three exceptional artists whose combined artistry marks a rare and defining moment in contemporary music. Created exclusively for this occasion, the program features new arrangements and unique collaborations, supported by an international creative team delivering a visually and acoustically immersive experience. Plácido Domingo represents a legacy that shaped generations. Dimash redefines the possibilities of the human voice. Together, they create a performance of singular artistic significance. Musical direction is led by Péter Pejtsik, with the participation of legendary conductor Eugene Kohn and Dohnányi Symphonic Orchestra. The guest artists of the evening: Yelena Dudochkin Ukranian-American soprano, Plácido Domingo Jr. singer-songwriter, Mansur Qudaibergen guitarist-pianist-songwriter, Soma Balázs-Piri pianist, Bence Bánkövi cellist and Victoria Bulieieva singer. Directed by award-winning Vajk Szente.

On April 18 at the MVM Dome in Budapest, we were fortunate to witness a large-scale Virtuosos concert in front of around 14,000 people.

The evening brought together an impressive lineup of performers on one stage, supported by the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra, guest conductor Eugene Kohn, and musical director and conductor Péter Pejtsik. A dance ensemble and numerous guest artists completed the production, including Plácido Domingo, Dimash Qudaibergen, Plácido Domingo Jr., Yelena Dudochkin, Mansur Qudaibergen, Soma Balázs Piri, Bence Bankóvi, and Victoria Bulieieva.

HAUSER was originally announced for the event but was unable to attend due to illness, a situation confirmed shortly before the concert; however, he remained present in the program through video messages addressed to the audience.

Dimash Qudaibergen performed O Sole Mio (with Plácido Domingo), Mahabbat ber magan, Durdaraz (with Mansur Qudaibergen), Autumn Strong (with Soma Balázs Piri at the piano), Stranger (with Péter Pejtsik on qobyz), SOS d’un terrien en détresse (again with Soma Balázs Piri), The Show Must Go On, and Phantom of the Opera (duet with Victoria Bulieieva).

The concert concluded with Besame Mucho, performed by all guests together on stage and presented twice as the final closing moment of the evening.
