PLÁCIDO DOMINGO JR.
A legacy born into music
Growing up in a household shaped by one of the most iconic operatic voices in history, he was surrounded by music from the very beginning. His father’s influence, combined with his mother Marta Domingo’s artistic environment, naturally guided him toward a lifelong relationship with composition and performance.
From an early age, Plácido Domingo Jr. developed a deep sensitivity to melody and storytelling through sound, eventually shaping his own identity as a modern crossover artist.

Amore Infinito
In 2009, he played a key role in the production of the album Amore Infinito (Eternal Love), serving as both executive producer and songwriter. The project included a special collaboration with his father, and incorporated poetic texts inspired by Pope John Paul II.
The album achieved notable success, reaching the top of Billboard’s Classical Crossover charts in 2010, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Latidos and Heartbeat - a global musical statement
In 2017, Domingo Jr. released his debut Spanish-language album Latidos, followed by the English version titled Heartbeat. The album features reinterpretations of classic songs from the 1950s and 1960s, reimagined through Latin-inspired rhythms and orchestral arrangements.
The project includes collaborations with celebrated artists such as José Feliciano, Plácido Domingo, and Arturo Sandoval, blending genres like bolero, jazz, tango, cha-cha-cha, and bachata into a cohesive artistic vision.
Songwriting for global voices
His compositions have been interpreted by a wide range of legendary voices, including Michael Bolton, Riccardo Cocciante, Vanessa Williams, Sarah Brightman, José Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, Leona Mitchell, Diana Ross, Alejandro Fernández, Tony Bennett, and his father, Plácido Domingo.

Virtuosos Talent Show
Beyond his solo achievements, Plácido Domingo Jr. is also a shareholder of the Virtuosos artistic universe – a collective celebrating exceptional young classical and crossover talent.
Within the Virtuosos family of musicians, our favorite singer Dimash Qudaibergen stands as one of the most remarkable voices of his generation, representing the same spirit of musical excellence and innovation.
Domingo Jr. further contributed to this creative world by composing the official Virtuosos Theme Song (which we love), helping to define the identity of the project and its global artistic message.
